Showing off Digital Component Construction

The Falkbuilt Kansas City Branch threw open its doors to a couple hundred people recently to help celebrate their new space with gold balloons, champagne and of course Digital Component Construction.

“We wanted to show as much as we possibly could,” says Branch Principal Vicki Allenbrand. “Falkbuilt kept innovating and doing new things and we kept having to figure out how to incorporate everything.”

The fully loaded Solution Center incorporates a healthcare room with a headwall and millwork, several meeting spaces with a variety of doors, acoustical ceilings, waterfall glass and “works of art”—screens that sit flush against the wall.

As the guests explored the Falkbuilt solutions, one of the showstoppers was the telescoping door. “Everybody loves it,” says Vicki. “Everyone touring through was like: ‘Oh my gosh, we love that! Where can we put that?’ People are amazed at how smoothly it moves.”

The guests “were blown away” by the space and excited to show their clients. “GCs and architects/designers told us: ‘this is exactly what we need to be showing our clients, they are going to love what it looks like and they are really going to love the speed of construction.’”

Speaking of speed of construction, guests were curious how long the Branch team had to work from home during the renovation. The team was thrilled to report they stayed put. “We were right here working the entire time as the trades--electricians, plumbers and AV technicians--worked alongside our Falk install team. It was completely seamless and never a disruption to us working in the building.”
