Where Manufacturing Meets Modern Workplace Design: United Alloy

Creating a headquarters that reflects growth, craftsmanship, and the future of industrial collaboration

As industrial companies continue evolving their workplaces to support collaboration, recruitment, training, and operational efficiency, interior environments are becoming an increasingly important extension of company culture and brand identity.

For United Alloy, a second-generation, family-owned leader in metal fabrication, welding, and powder coating, the vision for its new world headquarters in Janesville, Wisconsin, was about creating a space that reflected the same precision, performance, and craftsmanship found throughout its manufacturing operations. To help bring that vision to life, United Alloy partnered with Falkbuilt Madison by Meso to deliver high-performance interior glass wall solutions for a new headquarters addition featuring corporate offices, training facilities, meeting rooms, and a dramatic new entrance experience.

Much like Falkbuilt’s Factory Headquarters in Calgary, the United Alloy addition was designed to strengthen the connection between manufacturing, workplace, and people. By creating open, light-filled environments for collaboration, training, and daily operations, the new headquarters reflects the innovation happening on the production floor while supporting the teams that help drive the business forward.

Supporting a Growing Industrial Leader

Continued growth created new demands on United Alloy’s existing headquarters. The addition needed to support a growing workforce, enhance collaboration, and provide a workplace aligned with the company’s long-term vision while maintaining operational efficiency.

As the company continued to grow, the new headquarters addition needed to support multiple priorities simultaneously:

  • Modernize the workplace experience
  • Create flexible training and collaboration environments
  • Enhance visibility and openness throughout the space
  • Maintain project timelines and budget requirements
  • Deliver a polished environment for employees, visitors, and future talent

Falkbuilt Madison by Meso began collaborating early in the project alongside architects at Angus-Young, and general contractor Gilbank Construction, participating in project meetings and maintaining continuous communication throughout the process to help ensure coordination, efficiency, and flexibility from design through installation.

Glass wall solutions designed for performance and flexibility

Falkbuilt’s digital components were selected as the basis of design for the project’s interior glass wall systems and doors, supporting both the United Alloy aesthetic and the operational needs of the space.

Kai interior glass walls with frameless pivot doors were installed throughout offices and meeting rooms, creating clean sightlines, daylighting opportunities, and a modern workplace identity that reflects the forward momentum of the organization.

For the training facility, Taz telescoping doors helped create a highly adaptable space capable of opening directly into the lobby and entrance area. With soft-close functionality, effortless operation, and no floor track, the system allows United Alloy to easily reconfigure spaces for training sessions, presentations, meetings, and larger gatherings.

Custom film and graphics integrated throughout the project help reinforce branding and visual continuity across the new headquarters environment.

A collaborative project approach

From early planning through field deployment, collaboration remained central to the project’s success. Using Falkbuilt’s Echo technology platform, that integrates with Revit, project stakeholders worked from a shared digital model throughout design, manufacturing, and installation. This digitally coordinated approach helped improve visibility across the project team, streamline communication, and support more accurate planning and execution at every stage.

By maintaining close coordination between Angus-Young, Gilbank Construction, and Falkbuilt Madison by Meso, the team was able to stay aligned on project goals, respond efficiently to evolving requirements, and meet critical milestones while delivering a polished, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and future talent.

“Falkbuilt Madison by Meso is world-class at organization, communication, and customer education, which makes our lives as general contractors much easier. I recommend them to our clients, every chance I get and look forward to working together in the future,” said Russ Tabaka, Project Manager, Gilbank Construction.

Industrial spaces are evolving

Today’s industrial facilities are expected to do more than support production. Headquarters environments, training centers, and operational offices increasingly play a role in employee experience, recruitment, collaboration, and brand perception.

Projects like United Alloy demonstrate how thoughtfully designed interior solutions can help industrial organizations create workplaces that feel open, modern, and adaptable without compromising functionality or performance.

With Echo connecting modern workplace design, manufacturing, and field deployment through a unified digital workflow, Falkbuilt continues helping industrial organizations build spaces that support the future of manufacturing and operations—delivering greater coordination, precision, and adaptability from concept to completion.
