Modern Bank Interior Construction in Maui

How Falkbuilt Honolulu delivered Central Pacific Bank’s new Maui branch with Digital Component Construction

When Central Pacific Bank began planning its new Kahului branch on Maui, the goal was to create a modern banking environment that combines technology, efficiency, and long-term adaptability. Falkbuilt Honolulu delivered a digitally coordinated bank interior construction solution that brought together prefabricated components, integrated technology, and precision manufacturing to create a high-performance commercial interior built for the future of banking.

The result is a bright, coastal-inspired bank branch featuring 12-foot walls, double-glazed glass with clerestory panels, integrated technology, and a refined aqua-and-white material palette. Built using Falkbuilt’s Digital Component Construction, powered by Echo technology, the project demonstrates how prefabricated interior construction can help financial institutions create high-performance environments with greater efficiency and long-term flexibility.

Collaboration with conventional construction

Working alongside multiple trades, the Falkbuilt Honolulu team coordinated a complex interior construction scope with precision. In environments where punch-list items and field coordination challenges are common, Falkbuilt’s digitally manufactured components streamlined installation and reduced on-site complications.

By integrating seamlessly with conventional construction, Falkbuilt helped accelerate installation timelines, improve coordination between trades, and achieve a clean, refined finish across every surface and connection. The digitally coordinated approach also helped reduce rework and improve overall project efficiency throughout construction.

Banking interior design that performs

The design celebrates natural light, transparency, and material integrity while supporting acoustic privacy and operational performance. Double-glazed glass walls and doors visually open the space while maintaining privacy across nine offices, the “Tidepools” conference room, and the elevator lobby.

Solid walls wrapped in woodgrain Falkskin add warmth and texture, balancing the transparency of glass with a welcoming, hospitality-inspired feel. The aquatic palette reinforces Central Pacific Bank’s brand identity while creating a crisp, contemporary customer experience.

The result is a modern bank branch designed to support both employee productivity and customer comfort — combining aesthetics, functionality, and long-term durability in one integrated interior construction solution.

“Partnering with Falkbuilt Honolulu allowed us to completely reimagine what a modern banking environment can be for our Maui community. Their digitally coordinated approach brought incredible precision to the construction process, cutting down on traditional jobsite unpredictability. By integrating technology directly into the infrastructure, we’ve built a beautiful and sustainable branch that also has the flexibility to adapt as our customers’ and employees’ needs evolve.” says Kellie Arakaki-Kodama, VP, Design & Construction Manager, Central Pacific Bank.

Integrated technology and digital coordination

From the teller line to the meeting rooms, integrated technology was part of the project from the beginning. Falkbuilt delivered prefabricated interior components supporting LED screens behind teller stations, integrated lighting, built-in connectivity, and digitally coordinated infrastructure throughout the branch.

Powered by Echo technology, every component was digitally connected throughout design, manufacturing, and installation. This cloud-based coordination helped improve accuracy, reduce rework, and streamline installation while supporting future adaptability.

As banking environments continue to evolve, digitally coordinated interiors provide greater flexibility for future upgrades and reconfiguration. Components can be modified, upgraded, or replaced with significantly less disruption than conventional construction methods — transforming the interior from a static buildout into a long-term digital asset.

Built for speed, precision, and quality

Falkbuilt Honolulu’s agile construction approach kept the project on schedule without compromising craftsmanship or quality. By manufacturing key interior components off-site, the team minimized on-site disruption, reduced punch-list items, and improved installation precision.

Each double-glazed wall, magnetic door, and mitred corner arrived ready for installation, helping accelerate project timelines while maintaining Falkbuilt’s high standards for fit, finish, and performance.

This prefabricated approach to interior construction also helped create a cleaner, more predictable construction process — an increasingly valuable advantage for commercial and financial interior projects.

The result

Central Pacific Bank’s new Kahului branch delivers modern banking performance with timeless design. The project showcases how Digital Component Construction, prefabrication, and cloud-based coordination can help bring complex commercial interiors to life faster, cleaner, and more efficiently.

More than just a completed bank branch, the project represents a smarter approach to interior construction — one where digitally manufactured components, integrated technology, and future flexibility work together to support long-term operational performance.

Falkbuilt Honolulu’s work highlights how digitally coordinated construction can help financial institutions create high-performance environments with greater adaptability, precision, and long-term value.
