Collaborative, communicative + fast new cladding
Digital Component Construction greets patients at New Hampshire hospital
When Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire decided to build their new Center for Cancer Care, they tapped Falkbuilt New England for patient check-in stations, the registration area and the nurses’ stations. The team at Exeter was happy with the speed and ease of Digital Component Construction.
During installation there was a plumbing accident which required the Falkbuilt solutions to be uninstalled, the floor ripped out and replaced and then everything put back together. “There were a couple pieces of damaged cladding we easily swapped out and replaced,” says Project Manager Scott Fournier of the Falkbuilt New England Branch. “We were able to complete our scope on time and on budget.”
Hospital staff are enjoying their new work areas, including easily cleaned stack walls and millwork. “The staff are really happy with it. They love the way the whole product turned out and the glass and the beveled detail on all the angled corners is really nice,” says Katelyn Galante, a designer with Exeter Hospital’s Facilities Planning. She’s also pleased with the quality of the finishes, as well as the structural soundness and inherent flexibility of the solutions.
Katelyn and her colleagues liked working with the Branch from the initial design to the final walk through. “They were helpful in providing designs, and collaborating with us as a team and working through the details of understanding what Falkbuilt would do for us. They were very helpful and communicative.”
