Falk is Moving Far + Wide
Head ups Antarctica, Digital Component Construction is coming your way!
What do you do when you work at one of the most remote places on Earth and you need to update your office interiors? Well, you call Falk of course.
The fine folks at Antarctica’s McMurdo Station and our Falkbuilt Salt Lake City Branch worked together on this far-flung project. All the components for the job were precision cut in our factory and mocked up before being loaded up on a barge for the research station, a mere 2,500 miles due south of New Zealand and 9,500 miles from Falk’s HQ in Calgary, Canada.
When you’re shipping that far, it’s even more important that you only ship the materials you will actually use. Unlike conventional construction, with Falk, what you need is what you get. Nothing more. That means no waste and no big garbage bins or tipping fees for the landfill (which it’s safe to say would be rather substantial in Antarctica).
When the Super Studs and Falkskin-clad digital components arrive, sometime in February, the Salt Lake City Falk crew will hop on Facetime to show the research scientists working at McMurdo how easy it is to install the 24 linear foot wall. They’ll probably have it up before the barge even leaves port.
And once we’ve planted our Falk flag at McMurdo, near the South Pole, maybe we’ll just go ahead and set our sights on space.
We’re reaching new heights with our Stairway to Heaven. Ok, it may not go all the way to heaven, but the new staircase we just installed at Falk Nest is most definitely out of this world.
