Falkpod is “perfect”
Client loves acoustic privacy + branded addition to their space
Vireo, a Kansas City landscape architecture, planning and design firm that creates “places where people want to be” was re-imagining their open office to make sure it was still a place where their people wanted to be. “People want a little bit more privacy now, a little bit more protection from someone who may be coughing,” says Stephen Rhoades, one of the firm’s principals.
They had been looking around at pre-manufactured solutions and knew the Falkpod was “perfect” the instant they saw it at the Falkbuilt Kansas City Branch. “It not only accommodates our smaller conference meetings it also allows for two private call rooms,” says Stephen. “Having a confidential conversation was always a problem in our open office environment because everyone could hear it.” The staff enjoy having more privacy in the office and a quiet place for virtual calls with colleagues or clients working from home.
As well as integrated technology on the inside, the Falkpod has branded cladding on the outside. “As soon as you come in our front door, you can see this graphic,” he says. “We struggled with what to put on at first, but it turned into something fun knowing that if want to shake it up or have a different look, we can do that pretty quickly. We really like that.”
They also like that if they decide to move, they can disassemble the Falkpod and just take it with them to their new space. And they can put seasonal displays, such as a Christmas tree, on top of the pod for people to see from above in the century-old warehouse space. “We're excited about that,” Stephen says. “We’ve already had a ton of people in town want to come and visit it.”
