Fueling Gamebox growth
British-based gaming company expanding with Digital Component Construction
Immersive Gamebox has been entertaining British families, corporate groups and couples for years, and now, with the help of Falkbuilt, the company is rapidly expanding across North America.
The lively gaming experience takes place inside a 3.3 metre cube, with players responding to prompts projected on the walls. “We’ve been building the structures using traditional construction methods, and that’s slow and messy when we get in the venue,” says Jan Breens, CTO, Immersive Gamebox. “We really want to expand more quickly. We were looking to have these built in a factory and install them really quickly in the venues.”
Falkbuilt is manufacturing the Gameboxes as well as staff rooms and other elements for front offices at venues in Canada and the US. “The Gamebox is the most complicated piece of our solution, but we’re also looking to speed up everything else, and Falkbuilt is perfect for that,” says Jan.
The Dallas DIRECT Branch came to Calgary recently with folks from Gamebox and G Systems, the company installing dozens of new cubes in malls and other locations across the US. “We had a tour of the factory, and it’s extremely impressive that everything is done in house,” says Beau Guest, President, G Systems. “The way that accountability and inventory is tracked is also pretty amazing.”
They appreciate the smooth logistics and quality control with Digital Component Construction, powered by Echo. “We’re on a time crunch, we’re trying to build something, we’re trying to get it right the first time,” says installer Cade McKechnie. “When people say 'go,’ we have to be ready to go. Falk being able to hit deadlines quickly and efficiently is super huge for us.”
