When The Rise Resort envisioned their high-end restaurant and event center, The Edge, they knew that they wanted to create an entertainment destination experience unlike anything else in the Okanagan, seamlessly blending state-of-the-art design with the surrounding stunning natural landscape. They turned to Falkbuilt’s offsite Digital Component Construction + Echo technology to bring their dream - a venue for unparalleled hospitality and exquisite dining - to life.

Located in the beautiful city of Vernon, British Columbia, on a premier golf course, and perched high above Okanagan Lake, the location delivers unmatched beauty and breathtaking panoramic views. Once complete, The Edge would include a large restaurant and dining room, a sprawling outdoor patio with 360-degree views, private dining spaces, and an event space for weddings and larger celebrations. A sophisticated cocktail bar, casual golf lounge, with state-of-the-art golf simulators, and a retail pro shop, round out the total Edge experience.

Rise to the Challenge

Tasked with developing The Edge's interior construction, Falkbuilt’s custom design solutions included dramatic interior and exterior timber applications, solid, glass, and operable walls, paneled ceiling treatments, bespoke guest washrooms, and striking custom millwork.

The main hallway’s stunning timber installation began as 113 individual timber pieces totaling 5,600 board feet. Designed and engineered in Canada, manufactured in Switzerland, and installed by Falkbuilt in less than 18 hours - the piece is one of the project’s most impressive features.

Falkbuilt’s approach to offsite prefabricated construction resulted in the seamless execution of multiple design and engineering solutions, in a fraction of the time of any conventional construction approach, achieving the clarity, efficiency, and quality promised - at the cost quoted more than one year prior.
