Nomi Health needed speed of construction

Healthcare facilities around the world are running fast to cope with the pandemic. Nomi Health is winning the sprint, with the help of Falkbuilt and Digital Component Construction. The Salt Lake City healthcare infusion center provides antibody and other outpatient treatments for people with Covid-19.

“The project we requested Falkbuilt to fulfill was next to impossible—turning an old factory warehouse into a medical grade clinic in less than two weeks, but they were able to deliver and exceed our expectations,” says Viet Le, State Operations Director at Nomi Health.

It started on a Tuesday evening, when Nomi Health’s general contractor called Lance Henderson, of the Falkbuilt Salt Lake City Branch, to ask whether he could build 17 spaces with solid walls within a couple of weeks. After the call, Lance stopped to pick up milk on his way home and was "slapped with the reality of what we were about to do” when he realized the quart of milk he was holding would expire a day after the project was delivered.

Lance and Falkbuilt HQ got to work on a proposal that night, finalizing pricing and getting Falkskin samples to Nomi Health by 7:30 the next morning. Nomi signed off midday Wednesday and Branch designer, Tiffany Duhadway, immediately started building the Revit model. By Friday midday, all the details were settled, and Lance and the GC had met onsite a couple of times to discuss the project. The digital components were delivered ten days from that first late-day call.

The install happened in record time and Nomi Health was treating patients on schedule. The whole project went from soup to nuts before the milk expired. The client is thrilled: “The custom fabrication and measurements that they do is the best work we have seen,” says Viet, “We will continue to leverage this company for all of our future projects.”
