When Pacific Marine and Supply Co. embarked on modernizing their shipyard executive office space, they sought an interior construction partner as innovative as their own legacy. Founded in 1944, the company has been a pillar of innovation in Hawaii for decades. It pioneered air conditioning in 1957 and became Hawaii’s first EPA-certified environmental remediation and recycling company in the 1970s.

Today, Pacific Marine continues to push the boundaries of technology, designing cutting-edge solutions for the defense and maritime industries. The Falkbuilt Honolulu Branch with CEI Hawaii emerged as the ideal choice to elevate and maximize the space, combining innovation with unmatched construction expertise, design acumen, and the efficiency of Echo technology.

Elevated Sophistication in a Busy Shipyard

Located in the heart of their bustling Pacific Shipyards International, a subsidiary and the largest shipyard in Hawaii, Pacific Marine and Supply’s 4000-square-foot office space needed to reflect their professional brand while accommodating the unique demands of the busy environment. The new space would host high-level meetings and serve as a hub for collaboration, so the design required a clean, modern look. Speed was also critical for this active shipyard, with operations in full swing, downtime had to be minimal.

Digital Component Construction: The Ship That Came In

Falkbuilt’s approach delivered a seamless and sophisticated solution, resulting in a sleek, minimalist office that balances form and function. Here are some highlights:

Private Offices + Collab Spaces: The design includes ten private offices with workstations, as well as two conference rooms for meetings and collaboration. Writeable wall surfaces make the space both functional and inspiring. Solid walls reaching almost 10 feet high, were handily installed, above the grid, with Falkbuilt’s pre-cut digital components.

Bright + Airy: Large windows and plentiful use of glass walls and doors illuminate the space with natural light, enhancing the open, modern feel.

Integrated Technology: Falkbuilt’s solid wall design provides easy access to wall cavities, allowing trades to seamlessly integrate wiring for large screens and other technology.

Echo Technology - A Guiding Compass

Our technology, Echo, links directly to Revit and provides everyone on the project with true project clarity from design to manufacturing to installation. Echo translates low resolution data from Revit into high resolution data, to generate engineering accurate models, solving the greatest challenges for construction: clarity of speed, cost, and certainty of solution.
