Falkbuilt + Echo hit it outta the park at HCD
Hundreds of healthcare professionals from across North America toured Falkbuilt’s display at the 2022 Healthcare Design Expo and Conference in San Antonio and learned how we tackle all the healthcare construction issues: cost, speed of implementation, design response and sustainability. The show wrapped up last week and Falkbuilt Branch team members who attended are still raving about the reaction to Digital Component Construction.
“People were blown away,” says Greg Burke, of Falkbuilt New York Branch. “Everybody, to a person, couldn’t believe what they saw. They'd never seen anything like that. And when they heard the story about Echo technology and Digital Component Construction, they got really excited.”
Everyone was eager to learn more. “A hospital client wanted information on everything she saw,” says Akua Lesesne of the Falkbuilt Morristown Branch. “An architect said 'I didn't realize you did all this!' when he saw our exam room.”
Jay Lovell, of Falkbuilt Orlando Branch, says architects he spoke with at HCD are already calling him with opportunities. “Falkbuilt is starting a whole new conversation. I talked to so many people and no matter where they were from, they all came to the same conclusion: Falkbuilt and prefab is the future of healthcare construction.”
Ron Welch, of Falkbuilt DIRECT in Dallas, says a number of major healthcare architects were astounded at the innovation on display, including acoustic ceilings and wall panels and pocket doors with a drop seal for acoustic performance. “It was a Falkin’ game changer,” he says. “Folks were really impressed with the design and when you told them the entire display went up in only nine hours, they were amazed.”
The display came down even faster, with the thousands of digital components loaded in crates and shipped back to Calgary, where clients who missed HCD can walk through the display in all its design brilliance.
