Offices that reflect the community

The offices at the Gardner Chamber of Commerce were badly in need of updating so they called the nearby Falkbuilt Kansas City Branch for help.

“A Chamber of Commerce is a face of a community and the space we had was very tired, disorganized and looked very dated. It didn't project a very good impression,” says Jason Leib, the Chamber’s President and CEO. “Functionally the physical use of space was not divided well. There was a lot of lost space. It didn't give us room to collaborate, have meetings or bring people in.”

Giving designers at the Falkbuilt Branch “free reign,” the Chamber incorporated its brand colors on solid walls, created a much-needed collaborative meeting space and beefed-up storage capacity. Importantly, a media wall was moved to face the front of the office and any foot traffic to better promote Chamber programs and events.

The Chamber’s staff and members love the refreshed space, and so does the foot traffic. “We frequently get compliments,” Jason says. “We hosted a reopening event after the project was completed and people are not only impressed with the visuals, but I think it changed the perception of the organization in some ways. It helps project a modern image of the Chamber and the community itself.”

With Digital Component Construction powered by Echo technology, the project coordination and onsite installation went smoothly. “It was much simpler than I thought,” he says. “We really didn't even have to get out of our offices as things were getting installed and put in place.”

Jason and his team really enjoyed working with the Falkbuilt Branch. “They were fantastic,” he says. “They checked in frequently, always kept us up to date and were very willing to coordinate with us on what times worked best.
