Walls that are “too soundproof”
Ottawa accounting firm Falking happy “from A to Z”

In these days of constant online meetings, Firas Jundi wanted to ensure there was plenty of acoustic privacy in the renovation of the Lekadir PC office in Ottawa.
“Everyone in the office is constantly on Zoom calls and we were worried about having to hear everyone’s meetings all day,” says Firas, the firm’s office manager. “The Falkbuilt glass walls are clearly very soundproof because as we were getting our occupancy permits, the walls were too soundproof: the fire alarms did not get a high enough decibel level broadcasted into the workstations.”
As well as being happy not to hear each other’s meetings (but to hear any fire alarms) Firas and his colleagues were also pleased that Falkbuilt’s flat-packed digital components arrived with minimal packaging.
“Our problem with our old product was that it came in 573 billion boxes, which meant our installer had issues finding space to do it and we expected similar issues finding space to build this time.”

“We were very surprised by the efficient shipping," says Firas. "It came compact and very organized and didn’t take up too much space. This was huge because we really didn’t have much space to work with.”
Firas wasn’t sure what to expect using Falkbuilt the first time. “You just hope what they’re saying is true,” he says. “But we are super happy from A-Z, there were no hiccups at all and the whole thing was super professional. It turned out to be fantastic.” . So fantastic, in fact, that Firas is already working with Falkbuilt Montreal Branch on another project.
