When JGP Wealth Management set out to design their new office within a 6200-square-foot space in Portland’s stunning 11W Building, they knew what they wanted to achieve: an inviting and professional environment that prioritized client experience and employee morale, while addressing essential client privacy requirements. With employees transitioning back to in-person work, the timeline was tight, but the Falkbuilt Portland Branch by Hyphn rose to the challenge, leveraging their expertise in interior construction to deliver an impressive solution.

Addressing Client Challenges with Digital Component Solutions

Acoustic Privacy for Client Confidentiality

Privacy was critical for the wealth management firm, and a high level of soundproofing in private offices was essential to maintaining client confidentiality. Falkbuilt addressed these needs by incorporating insulation into McNally solid walls for optimal acoustic performance. With these enhancements, the offices achieved STC ratings as high as STC 53, effectively mitigating sound transfer.

An Inviting Space for Employees and Clients

To foster a welcoming atmosphere, the project design featured abundant natural light and carefully curated spaces for socializing and collaboration. Glass walls and doors allowed sunlight to flood private offices and shared areas, while privacy frosting ensured discretion where needed. The industrial loft design, complete with cement floors and ceilings, delivers a modern, urban feel, and a beautiful covered outdoor terrace provides sweeping views of downtown Portland.

With employees returning to the office from remote work, the construction schedule required efficiency without compromising quality. Falkbuilt’s precision manufactured components allowed for a fast installation, ensuring that the project was completed on time.

“Had conventional construction been used in this project, the client would have had to find substantially more funding than planned, for the look and feel that they wanted, as well as the functionality (zero sound transfer between offices was critical for them and a big reason they liked Falkbuilt) Because of Falkbuilt, they were able to keep the wood and glass look (with muntins) that the architect had drawn for them.” remembers Paul Baglio, the client's Project Manager.
