Falkbuilt Toronto’s first install going up at Bay + Front
Digital Component Construction heads to financial district for workplace of the future competition

Falkbuilt Toronto is working with Connect Resource Managers and Planners Inc. and The Jesslin Group to bring Digital Component Construction to 200 Bay Street—and we’re really excited to do our first install in the heart of Toronto’s financial district.
We are one of four teams competing in the Oxford’s Workplace Innovation Challenge to create the workplace of the future. The future is coming fast—we are just weeks away from 2020 after all—but Falk is already there. Our secret sauce for future proofing interior construction includes eliminating drywall, virtually eliminating waste on site as well as speeding up the construction schedule.
The components—glass walls, Super Studs, digital horizontals and cladding (with finishes of Linear Ash, Diva WL and White Super Matte)—were precision cut in our factory in Calgary and shipped to Toronto, where they will be installed in just a few days (the other teams may need up to the December 31 deadline to complete their projects, but we’ll be long gone by then and be busy telling other clients about our New Year’s resolution to digitize interior construction).
In January, a panel of judges from the local commercial real estate industry will select the winning team. The judges will look for spaces that “challenge the norm for creative workplace design, employee collaboration and future growth.” We wish the other three teams well, because, well, we’re classy like that. But we also know that Digital Component Construction is already a winner.
